Daffodil Glade

Last weekend my mom's parents and brother visited us from Ohio. While the boys were out with Uncle Ray, my Grandparents, mom, Kara, and I went to the Morton Arboretum to see Daffodil Glade. Maybe 2pm isn't the greatest time of the day to take pictures, but they still turned out ok. Daffodil Glade is my favorite spring spot. It's beautiful. That picture under the Easter post was taken there a couple of years ago.

Dorky Brothers...

Two of my brothers think they're so cool. On the contrary; they are dorks. Who might these two dorky brothers of mine be? If you guessed Aaron and Nathan, you just happen to be right. How in the world did you guess?!
It was pretty humorous, really. Just don't tell them I said that. This is actually the second time they've done this to me.

I had just come home from work today and I was getting something off my dresser. I was talking on the phone and glanced at one of my pictures. It was then I realized something was very wrong. That face was *not* Dan's...

This is the first one I saw. It's simply hideous. I'm sure you can imagine how traumatizing this was.

Someone looks excited to see me. My personal favorite.

I'm such a cradle robber. Especially of such a young enforcer of the law like this one.

I have such a sweet, angelic face. You might even confuse me with Queen Amidala.

Where, O Death, Is Your Victory?

"Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade—kept in heaven for you, who through faith are shielded by God's power until the coming of the salvation that is ready to be revealed in the last time. In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials. These have come so that your faith—of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire—may be proved genuine and may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed. Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy, for you are receiving the goal of your faith, the salvation of your souls." 1 Peter 1:3-9

Praise God that He has given us a Living Hope!
Happy Easter!

The Fearless Adventurers

After doing my taxes(finally) and eating lunch, Aubrey and I decided to go for a drive and check out the Crossbow hunting place. It's fenced off, but we were going to walk along the fence in the woods and see if we could see any animals. The only animals we saw were fake ones, full of arrow holes. So we decided to explore the woods. This place was huge. It's quite thrilling, walking through the woods without a clue of where you're going. After getting lost(sort of) we found our way back. We went home to grab Ryan, who joined us and took some video clips of our second adventure. It was a good excuse to act like a couple of dorks.

King of the log.

True Kat

Nate got a little creative this weekend. The end result? Her name is True Kat.
