Fancy At The Farm

Saturday was Fancy Work day at Kline Creek Farm. We got to wear our fancy farm dresses and sit in the parlour and work on our fancywork and talk. It was unbelievably cold, so we were more than content to sit inside the house all day.

Heather, Katie, Samantha, Laura, and I were the quintessence of elegant, refined young ladies. Except when we started feeling tired after lunch. Then we decided to go outside in almost subzero temperatures and run laps around the house. Ah. How invigorating.

Heather and I are working hard(yeah right) in the parlour.

Would you care for a cup of tea?

Did you make your shirts? They're really pretty. I need a similar one for Joanna's dress for LD. Know where I can get one? :o) You all are going aren't you?

We made all of our costumes. You can get a pattern for the blouses at any place that sells patterns. I got mine at Jo Ann's, but I've seen them at Wal-mart. It's a pretty fast project, too. I think I made mine in a long afternoon. Not Bad.

And yes, we'll see you at LD. :o)
